What a wonderful set of goodies!

Quick swap over at scraprageous.com - three pp, three cs (all 4x6), 2 $1 embellishments and a handmade item.  Wow - KMG went to town - look at this wonderful canvas she sent!  Totally love it (photo doesn't do it justice).

I will sooo have fun scrapping with these materials.  I know the photos that will coordinate beautifully, now to find them!

Having fun with a new technique

I finally had a chance to learn about a technique I found over at youtube.  It uses elmers glue and paint to create your own crackle technique.  Advantage - not having to have as many colors of crackle paint.  I am not giving up crackle paint, but this is great for a particular color.

Decided to give this a try for a humorous ATC Scrapbook swap over at Scrapbook Messageboard on my scraprageous.com site.  Here are my results (just the background piece).

I used a white/black polka dot background paper with some circles glued down.  This is then mounted on regular cardstock that is acid/lignen free.  The only catch, if you are worried about longevity of your scrapbooks, is to be sure and not have a photo touch this particular piece.  That doesn't really worry me as this piece will be used in one of my personal books.  If they last my lifetime that is my only concern.

Color Challenge Entry

August's Color Challenge over on www.scraprageous.com/messageboards is brown and pink or brown and blue.  I was thrilled with my auction purchase of some bird chipboard stickers that coordinate with a pack of paper I already owned!

Next, after adding the bird sticker, the Dr. Suess embellishment (Dr. Suess theme items this year) and journaling on the pull out piece - my page is almost done.  Still need to add the photos (they will get developed - I don't print at home).  Space for a 3x3 photo and the two individual shots I have.

It's that time of year!

That is my super fancy computer cooling tray in the background!  I got tired of the $39 ones breaking after only a year, so ds told me about the cookie cooling tray idea.  Found on sale - 2 for $7.  Definitely cheaper than the cooling trays.
