Christmas Gift Experimentation
Over at Sketches 4 All, there is a scary Halloween card contest right now. I decided to take a bit different tact on the card - what do you think?
I have been thinking about making sets of coasters for friends and family members as Christmas gifts, so needed to experiment. Modge Podge, Ultra Seal, glues, adhesives, poly-urethane? What to do
Final conclusion
I like Modge Podge for attaching everything, then a few coats of polyurethane. (Who wants a coaster sticking to a cup when raised?).
Below are some photos of various stages/trials. I also learned that deco squares work great for this too!
Below is another set I am working on - first I stained the wood for this set, now to Modge Podge the layers.
